My wife's PC has given up so I'm moving her to a W10 pc. She wants access to her old emails, address book etc which is on Outlook express. I have a backup - how do I move it into the W10 mail? I can find lots of hits on how to set it up with your service provider but I can't find anything on moving outlook express to MSMail.

I found this in 5 seconds, but I'm not gloating.

I would copy the entire OE data store folder (as mentioned) using a memory stick and then MOVE it off the memory stick onto the new computer's desktop for importing. Leave the folder in tact on the old computer as a backup. In other words, don't CUT it off the old PC and move it to the memory stick.

This is the folder you want:
C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{GUID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

"Living tomorrow is everyone's sorrow.

Which keywords did you use - I always have problems looking for stuff on the net because I use the wrong keywords

I think it was "import outlook express windows mail" in Google, no quotes

"Living tomorrow is everyone's sorrow.
Modern man's daydreams have turned into nightmares.

The keyword I was missing was import.
