There are 3 Access databases (or 3 tables in a DB if that is more appropriate)

What I need to do is go down the list in the first table and view the number in the field.

I then in turn need to check a 2nd table list to see if that number exists there also. (For each record in this table is another field with an updated number for the old number)

If the number is found in the 2nd table list then replace that number in the first table with the updated number and then copy this record into a new table.

If there is no number corresponding in the 2nd table then just copy the record into the new table with no changes.

I then have to return to the first table again and start the procedure with the next record until all records are checked.

Does anyone have any ideas or guides about using ADO etc to perform these procedures?

Many Thanks....
