I created an external store different from the default storage, using a rule some documents are stored in the secondary storage.

Now want to move the documents in the secondary store to the default store. i.e I want to have only the defualt storage.

Pls how can I acheve this. he secondary storage contains 884 documents and they are all in one folder with subfolders. am using Livelink 9.7.1

Hmmm.If you are not concerned with the dataid's being the same if you made a copy of the folder and move them somewhere new would not you get the documents....One thing you want to be be very careful here is a livelink copy increses only a pointer in the internal database it may not replicate the files. So I would probably add a version to each of these 884 files so that they have been succesfully copied into the existing EFS and then delete the originals.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

1. I assume that these documents are in an external data store someplace.

2. I assume that you want all of these documents in your default store and you are not concerned with DATAID's and such.

The Object Importer/Exporter would do it, although there is some overhead associated with this in regard to setting up the .CTL file for the import.

If the documents are in a WebDAV Accessible data store - you could simply set up a WebDAV connection and click and drag the entire folder structure into wherever you want to store the documents.
