Any hints for moving a database from one computer to another without it becoming read only and loosing form formatting?

If you mean moving by copying the xxx.mdb file onto a network server and then copying it onto another user's machine - there's no problem

If you mean by attaching it to an email - then ZIP it first so that Outlook does not reject it for being an 'executable'

If you mean by copying it onto a CDR and then copy it off at the other end and just open Windoz Explorer, right click on the file and unset the "Read Only" property.

Otherwise - I'd need more info to help you.

( I've never come across any problems with Form formatting caused by moving a database from one pc to another - unless it's actually the screen resolution on the two machines being different - and that's not Access's fault. )
