I don't know if this is possible but I would like to populate a second worksheet with data from c1 where a1:a500="A". I know this formula will get me one record and if I drag it down, I will get a bunch of "False" then a record. I know why that is happening but how can I get it to just display all the c1 records in a column without the "False" and/or blank rows.
=IF(Sheet1!A1:A50="A", Sheet1!C1)

I want it to look like this:
ad001
ad004
ad007
But currently it looks like this:
ad001
False
False
False
False
ad005
Thanks

Have a look at Data > Filter > Advanced Filter > Unique Values Only.

Start on the sheet where you want the filtered data to end up.

I'm sorry, I think I didn't realize what I actually needed.

I need it to search a1:a500 and where it sees an "A" in that column, I want it to print what is in column c. There will be more than one instance of this. The spreadsheet contains information spread out and doesn't have just standard rows and columns of data. But each row does contain a letter that will help me pull the correct piece of data. So for another piece of data I might need to query the A column and where it says "G", I want it to print what is in that row under column B. But I don't know what the row # will be. There are literally thousands of records to sort through so I am looking for a faster way.
Thanks

Why could you not use Data > Autofilter

Select column A

Turn on the AutoFilter.

Select the value you want as the criteria.
