Moving Backup Exec 8.5 to Another Server 1

Is there a document that details the correct way to move Veritas Backup Exec 8.5 from one server to another and retain job logs and tape information so you can continue with restores from previous weeks, months etc?

Before you remove BE (backup exec):

- stop all BE services on the media server
- copy the PVL.MDB, the data and catalog folders (Veritas\backup exec\nt...)
- print out the BESNNUM.txt (winnt directory)
- uninstall BE
- install BE wherever ...
- stop all BE services for the new instance of BE
- insert those files back in (apart from the BESNNUM)and start all BE services
- you will then have all your scheduled jobs, job logs, cataolgs (ie what you see in restore selections) and all your media sets back. you will have to reenter the serial no's but the bulk of the info. will be back
