Moving away from novell...

We are moving away from novell and going to a straight windows office.. we currently are using arcserve 7 for netware to backup our file server. my question is after we get rid of novell will i be able to restore my old tapes to a windows server using Arcserve 9 for windows?

The main issue here is that if you are you using Novell's SMS to backup you MUST use SMS to restore as this is the go-between. This applies to both Novell-to-Novell as to Novell-to-Windows ( ARCserve for Windows ) backup strategies.

If you do not use SMS, you risk loosing your long filenames as they will be backed up in 8.3 format. -----------------------------------------------------
