Hi there,
Since you guys were so helpful with the hell we went through re: "unreadable media" thought I may ask you another one.
Another tech reinstalled ArcServe to solve the last problem we had, but this time, didn't move the database files to the D: Data partition of the server. ArcServe now intermittently hangs at 7% when doing backup jobs. The only way to bring it back up is to reboot the server. I'm thinking this probably has something to do with the C: System partition on the server only having about 100 MG of freespace. (I have to delete temp files and the like daily just to keep it running.)
We've had similar problems with our own backup server running ArcServe NT, which is also low on diskspace.
I haven't been able to find any documentation and the process for moving the database files doesn't seem to be all that intuitive.
Tips? What I'm looking for is to have ArcServe write the database files to significantly larger partitions, freeing up space on the System partition and hopefully solving the 7% problem in the process.
Thanks!
Tiffany
