I have a user who has a DB on an older machine. They just got a new computer with XP and want to move the DB to the new machine. Will it be a problem to move the DB via a 3.5 floppy to the new machine after installing Approach 97. Can I use a different program to access the DB? Thanks in advance for the advice. Have a great day.

It will work fine to copy the database files (.adx, .dbf, .dbt) and approach file (.APR) via one or more floppies to your new computer.

Approach 97 may or may not work OK on Windows XP. You will need to test a bit to make sure.

You can probably open the .dbf file with MS Works database or even a spreadsheet program, but if you want to use the views (forms, reports, etc), you will need to use Approach and open the .APR files.
