Hi all,

I'm trying to move an X-window from one machine to another WITHOUT restarting the application.

The app was started using;
> ./application -display <ip>:0.0 &

I'd like to move the x-window to a different ip.

I sort of remember nohup being involved but the iterations I've tried haven't worked.

Any thoughts ? Ian

Because the X-window runs under its' own shell, you are most likely outta luck. You would need to change the DISPLAY variable, but that is in the shell environment of the running process.

Bill.
