I have a site move occuring soon. The file server onsite's ip address will need to change - this server also holds the site's OU replica. The tree for the company holds various OUs which are site based (of course)...

I only expected to shutdown the server and using inetcfg change the machines IP address.

Anyone forsee any issues?

Anyone know of a process I should be taking before and during the move?

Is that in inetcfg as well? BTW we use SLP is there any changes necessary there?

Routing is in INETCFG.. SLP 'SHOULD' take care of itself, but you should verify that it's working after the move. Kinda depends on how you have it setup.

Any dsrepairs or object removals beforehand? I know it's within the tree and all...

Hopefully Marvin will answer that. You may want to let it run for a day or two just to see if any errors occur. That way, you won't be "fixing" something that isn't broken.

If things seem fine, I'd want to run dsrepair once I had things hooked back up and working. Just for safety. Again, though, if it isn't broken, it doesn't need fixing.
