moving a nim master

i want to get a nim master into an lpar 570 which will go offsite.
i created a mksysb of my original master (f50-nim), nim installed it into a partition and it now runs as i570-nim and any command i use it says 'only excute on a nim master'.

what defines it as a nim master and what can I change to make it a nim master?

this reply may work if on same machine and now db is corrupt.
i have a complete mksysb of nim server, restored onto an lpar, but commands like lsnim etc. have not been restored (no excludes were used)

there is a lot more to do other than restoring from mksysb
