I am hoping somone can help me. I have a couple Netware 4.11 server patched to SP9. They were all on a Token ring network which we have been converting over to Ethernet. I was able to install Ethernet cards on all the servers, They have been running with no problems with both cards for about 4 months. We finally moved all the other network nodes over to Ethernet. Then I disabled the cards in the last 2 server one being the
master replicator. When I rebooted the server some of the NT workstation could not see the server. Also when I ran "display server" it only shows 63, with the card enabled it shows 93. On the second server Users could not get to SQL that runs on it and Rconsole didn't work either. when I reloaded the cards everything worked fine. Anybody have any thoughts?

is it random workstations that have the problem or is it a particular segment? If you have routers with token ring in the mix, check the routing tables, you may have a router moving traffic from the ethernet segment to the token ring segment.

For server1 one of our NT servers that has always been Ethernet cannot seem to be able to find it. Also some NT workstations cannot find it either. For server2 I am not sure if people had problems attaching to it or if the problem was when they tried to run SQL. There are Routers on the network but none of them route IPX or have IPX loaded on any of the interfaces. I was wondering if the problem was with the Nortel switches. This weekend we are going to try shutting down the entire network.
