Working with a MICS 6.1 to move a key module from slot 6 to an open slot 11. I need to add another M12X0 for more trunks. Can I turn on set relocation and swap fibers 6 & 11 then turn off relocation? Then delete M0X16 slot 6 and install a M12X0 in slot 6?

The question is why bother moving the 0x16. The trunk module can be installed in slot 7 or any available slot from the top, except for slot 14 in an XC (companion ) situation.

As long as you go into maintanence to determine which line numbers the line card takes on.

As far as using set relocate, I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I myself won't bother moving the station module.

This is a full system with three PRI's and one M12X0 already installed. Only slot 11 open and trunks must be in the first 6 fiber ports. Adding 2nd M12Xo to convert a channel bank to anaolg for a predictive dialer interface that will transfer callers to MICS to talk to an agent.

I think you might have to have an SM on 11 first.
Then change the DN's from 6.
Move the CC's.
Then put your TM on 6.
