Just looking for some ideas, or someone who has experience doing something like this in the past.

We are currently undergoing a hardware upgrade to get rid of end-of-life EPE equipment. The EPE cabinets are out, and everything is running off 3 full IPE columns. The EPE and IPE cabinets were all arranged in a line, and now that the EPE cabinets are out, we want to move the IPE columns down into their place. Basically, it means sliding the IPE columns across the floor about 20 feet. We are not crazy about shutting the system down, taking the columns/shelves apart and reassembling them in the new location as we are a 24/7 operation and that would mean a significant system downtime for our users. Does anyone have any ideas on how to move these 3 IPE columns 20 feet across the floor without taking them apart?

Sorry, to do this in a tidy fashion, I would down the columns. For a start the SysMon cards are daisy chained together & as there is 20 feet between the IPE columns & the Control/Network columns I'm assuming the NET cables are hanging in mid air in between. To end up with a tidy job, I would diconnect all of these, move the columns then reinstall the cables which you are going to have to coil up a fair % of the slack. I also wounldn't be to hot on the idea of moving powered columns that distance
