movieclip control question 1

If I have a movielclip labeled box and inside that box MC I have another MC labeled circle and upon entering a particular frame on the root timeline is it possible to have a gotoandstop in the circle MC controlled from the _root timeline?? If so, how?

Assuming the box mc and the circle mc are present on stage on the root timeline frame you're targeting it...

this.box.circle.gotoAndStop(X);
// Replace X withe the frame number.

Or label the targeted frame as target1

this.box.circle.gotoAndStop("target1");
