I am very, very new at this. I have a avi that I made as a character. It plays on the stage. Now I want to be able to write it to a cd and autoplay. I am not sure how the projector works to have the movie show from the cd.
Please help!!!

You need to include on the CD an Autorun script. Just copy this to notepad:

[autorun] OPEN=Start.EXE

and save it as autorun.inf and include it on your CD. *note-change Start to whatever your projector name is.

You might find that the AVI will not necessarily work all that well - especially across platform.

You may be better off converting to an MPEG (various software and plug-ins available including WinMPG etc) and then use the DirectMedia Xtra from - a bit pricy both worth the money - to package it into Director.

If anyone knows of a good plug-in for Adobe Premiere to export .mpg MPEG files then greatly appreciated. I'm currently using a Panansonic plug-in but the quality isn't great for decent size / decent bit rate videos. Very good for 320x246 video clips!

To export MPEG from Premiere, I’d first render movie in QuickTime (“Animation” compression) then re-export it to MPEG using Cleaner.

You are using “Panasonic plug-in” - may be you’re talking about a hardware ???
