Hey guys,

I'm cheap and need a cheap V-day gift! I'm trying to place our faces seamlessly into this movie poster (Casablanca is my wife's favorite).

I've tried colorizing, adding noise, some effects, etc., but just can't get it to look real. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Play with your Image>Adjustments>Curves
and other stuff under that menu.

I like to work in CMYK mode.
Add heaps of yellow a smidge of cyan make it a little duller
Add a little noise etc.

There are many different ways to do this. Play around until you like the result.

There are heaps of tutorials out there on this topic, search Google

yeah, the trick is to get the "old" look on your image. Soften the edges slightly of your faces so they dont look so "cut out"...

Use your eyedropper to get the exact yellow tinge and mask that over your faces also, or use your image adjustments to bring up the Y and C.

You may even want to start by converting your image to Grayscale and working with the colors up from there. That is how the original poster was done. (It's simply a B/W image with a yellow wash over it...)
