Is there any software which can be used to play VCD's that is '.dat' files in Linux 8.0(Redhat).

And, how to install internal modem, if by default it is not recognized by Linux. I have Motorola SM56 Internal Modem.

As for your first question the program XINE will read vcd's.
As for your second question read the Modem HOW-to to configure and install your modem. You'll probably have to recompile your kernel to get the modem recognized. An infinite number of monkey typing at an infinite number of keyboards will eventually populate the internet.
