I have a really weird problem. I had an old movie clip called "intro anim". I deleted it from the library and then dragged in a newer, revised version from a differet fla. but with the same MC name. Dragging the MC on to the stage, Flash shows me the new clip with all the new revisions. Same goes for when i click the "play" button in the library and "test" the scene by pressing enter (with the red playhead going down the timeline).
The problem is when I "Test Movie", I get the old version.
I hope this is clear.
I'm kind of stuck. Iv'e tried renaming etc...no luck. Any Ideas?

By the way, I find that "test scene" playes the new version while "test Movie" playes the old version.

Two things to check:
What do you get when viewing this mc from the Library? New or old version.
Are you using an instance name to refer to this mc?
In other words, in your AS somewhere would you be referring to the instance name of the old version?

Hi, thanks for responding, in the library I get the new version. This I didn't understand:"in your AS somewhere would you be referring to the instance name of the old version?"

You are then not controlling this movie clip with actionscript? It's just on stage playing all the time? And are you sure you don't have an old one lying around the stage?
