we are now on 5.5ep. have set up a new system with 6.5 this was a test system and would like to make it live how would I move the 250 users? and all old mail mailbox settings

How many domains and POs? Do you have a WAN?

I'm doing a 5.5ep to 6.5 upgrade this weekend for 80 users, I'll let you know what I run into. It's only a single site, so it will be easy.

Pretty much my plan follows a simple service pack roll out. This will be my first upgrade to 6.5, but from what I have read, all I need to do is extend the schema, install the agents and load them. The rest is dealing with the client roll out. Pretty much the only change if you have more than one site is the timing, the actuall tech work is pretty similar.

it would be one domain, one in on nw5.1 nosp and the other is nw6sp3
in the move we would be also changing the domain.

thank i would like to hear on it went

The upgrade went pretty smooth.

After mu backup I ran the install and created my new software store. Extended the schema, then installed the agents. At first run, my database files did not convert. Even though the install went with out errors, the DC files did not copy over to the PO directory. Once I copied them from the software store to the po directory and restart the POA, the databases converted with out issue.

used ZEN to distribute the new client.

Pretty much the only real problem I have right now is with document managment. The default author setting is not holding (assistance make the lawyer they work for the author of all documents), small and stupid issue, but important to a lawfirm. Have no info on this goofy issue, NTS is testing my DB files right now.

The new GW6.5 interface is pretty slick
