Moved messages in Outlook stay in inbox on BB 1

Hi

I have a user that reads mails in Outlook then moves them manually to a pst file he uses for archiving. He is asking why the moved mails remain in the inbox on his BB. If he deletes a mail in his inbox then they are deleted from the BB in the normal way. Is this the way BES is designed to function or is there something I can do to allow mails to be removed from the BB inbox when they are moved from the Outlook mailbox.

We are using Exchange 2000/BES 3.6 and client is Outlook 2003.

Any suggestions appreciated.

There is an option to hide filed messages.
Click in the messages screen, select options and set hide filed messages to yes.

Although the filed messages are hidden by the option, please note that the e-mails are still taking up space on the BlackBerry. If that is not a problem, then you are all set. But I found my BB running out of space because whatever I filed away via Outlook was filed away on the BB in the identically named folder. This is handy if you want to use this feature, but you need to be aware of it.
