Hello,

I tried moving my data store of PS4 Advanced from Access to SQL2000 and failed miserably. I manually created a DB on my SQL server. Created a user as db_owner on the database. I then created a file dsn (which connects fien to my DB). Ran dsmaint /migrate ...., ran dsmaint /config, tried restarting IMA service but it won't start and shoots an error message from event viewer

Here's my mf20.dsn
[ODBC]
DRIVER=SQL Server
UID=citrix
DATABASE=Citrix DataStore
WSID=citrix1
APP=Microsoft Data Access Components
SERVER=SQLSRV1\GREATPLAINS
Description=CitrixFarmname

Any ideas ? From what I read, it's supposed to be straight forward. It's far from it in my case.

The 2147483655 error suggets a login error.

However there is a white paper on Citrix web site as to how to move a data store from Access to SQL, I have only done it the once, but it worked a charm. That was about 4 years ago though. Make sure your read it thouroughly and identify your scenario first before you step right in.

Cheers

Found the problem. DSMAINT doesn't mind a DB with a space inside but IMA service doesn't like it. My DB was called Citrix DataStore. Flushed the DB and recreated a new DB CitrixDataStore. Worked a like a charm.
