Could anybody please point me in the direction of a 'howto'.

I currently have 2 domains running in parallel ( nt and 2003 ad). The nt4 domain is basicaly dead now so i need to move a win2k server from that domain into the new active directory domain. The win2k server needs only be a member server in active directory. Currently it has all the nt4 domain users still on there so will need to be removed a sync done with the ad domain controller for user names etc.

A step by step for whole process would be nice, but....

Currently it has all the nt4 domain users still on there

what do you mean by this??? that it is a member server and the users of the NT4 domain have in the past logged on to it??

in any case, all you need to do is put it in a workgroup, reboot then join it to the new domain, reboot again...

if you want to get rid of user account profiles hanging around, Rightclick properties on My Computer, and choose user profiles tab... you can delete them there (they'll be S-garbage numbers by this point....)

Correct this is currently a member server in nt4 domain, with all the OLD usernames - same users diffrent format in the new AD domain.

if you dont want to keep their profiles on the server, then remove them like i said and change the domain of the server.....
