Is it possible to re-direct the folder that call recordings are saved in? Currently call recordings and voicemail are held in the directory:

C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts

This is starting to clog up my c:\ drive and I have to delete recordings on a regular basis.

Can I easily redirect the recordings away from my c:\ drive?

Many thanks in advance.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Avaya\Media Services\Directories and change the AccountsDir. This is for the latest VM (4.1)though earlier software (3) settings are under Network Alchemy\Voicemail\Directories

Yes you can but you need to change the directory
You can find this in the preferences (F9)

Wow! Thanks for the (very) prompt reply. I will give that a go.
Cheers.

I had seen the System Preferences (F9) option, but it wasn't obvious that a change there would move the recordings folder. None of the three options (see below) mentioned the actual directory where the recordings are currently going.

Voicemail Server Directory
Indicates the location of the voicemail server program. This is the folder to which the file Root.vmp is saved when the Save & Make Live command is used.
(Currently C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM)

Voicemail Server Speech Directory
Indicates the location of the folders containing the libraries of speech prompts.
(Currently C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Wavs)

Remote Campaign Directory
Use this field to browse for the directory in which campaign files should be stored.
(Currently C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Campaigns)

Cheers.

You won't move them !!!
You need to move them but You change the place they are going to be from the moment you say !!!
So first you need to copy the folders yourself

Which of the three otions should I change?

And I guess that I should copy the currently folder's contents to the new target before implementing the change.

I assume that I should return the registry to its former state?

Nothing in the F9 will move just the \Accounts tree. If you want to do it Avaya's way you should Export your existing configuration using File>Import/Export>Export and backup the .mdb. Then Copy the directory c:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\ to say D:\.... then uninstall Voicemail Pro and reinstall selecting the directory on the D: created in the step above during the installation process.

If you are using IMS or Voicemail to Email you'll want to run the backupreg.bat before uninstalling and the restorereg.bat after reinstalling.

Finally do a File>Import/Export>Import to re-import your .mdb.

The entire process should take about 5 minutes.

or buy contactstore so they are compressed and can be archived and are a hell of a lot more managable
