I have GM 6.70 on XP Pro and want to move the folder where my Temporary Internet files in IE7 are stored.

How do I point the TEMP folder in GM to the new folder?

if you "want to move the folder where my Temporary Internet files in IE7 are stored." then you need to look in the IE and system options -- not the GoldMine options.

Huh! If he wants to store the GoldMine Temporary folder under the Internet Explorer Temporary folders he has to set this in that Internet Explorer? Maybe I'm misunderstanding this whole question, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Sorry, badly worded question!

I have a small network of Goldmine users and if everyone logs in at their own desk there is no problem but if you log in to Goldmine as yourself at another workstation your emails that had previously been collected and are in your in box do not show properly.

I think this is because the embedded pictures are stored locally at the machine where the email was originally opened and if I go to help/about/system the TEMP Directory does point locally on all work stations.

I want to move the TEMP directory to a network drive. I think the location of the TEMP directory is determined by IE7 and I know how to move it in IE7 but I don't know how to get GM to point to the folder in it's new location.

There is no TEMPDIR statement in any of the ini files.

Thanks for the help so far and I am sorry I should have explained better in the 1st place.

Then I believe you to have your GoldMine configured improperly. You could go to Preferences | Internet tab, and set the Attachments directory path for each individual UserID, or you could do a User Override via the GM.ini.

If you have a copy of The Hacker's Guide to GoldMine 6.7, the override the discussed in Chapter 3, beginning on physical page 132.

Hi DJ, the attachments are fine. It is the pictures etc that are embedded into the email that are the problem.
