Hi,

We are running Exchange 5.5
The client computers have Outlook 2003 with cached mode
Their C drive is not that big however, and I would like to move the OST file to their second hard drive

Is this possible ?

Thanks,

Jorn

Yes it is.

Find the OST, close Outlook. Copy it to new location then go into the mail profile and select advanced and Offline Folder Settings.

You should be able to put in the new location.

an ost file is just the offline file of the current mail, what you can do is search for the OST file, the rename it to a *.old extention, then go to outlook, disconnect the offline folders totally. then recreate the offline folders again, but when you are prompted for the path, point it to your second hard drive.
