Move on go back in middle of pages 1

Hi,
I have a problem what i would like to have is a main page and side page but in the centre of this page i want the option to select to move through the catalouge of images with a next and back button, how would i achieve this without frames.
Is it a javascript jobbie? Im using DWMX2004
Sorry if it isnt clear i will try and find an online example i might be able 2 pinch the script!
