Move old user files to near line storage

My users are terrible at deleting old files off the server. I would like a solution that would move the old files automagically to an archive drive and leave a tag on the server so users could get the file if needed.

I have tried HP's Storage Works File Migration Agent but I couldnt get it to work. There is no support.

IBM's Tivoli is too expensive.

Anyone have a solution?

commvault makes a similar product, we use it, it works, it's expensive.

Mimosa's NearPoint will do that.
