move mailbox from 5.5 to 2003

I have set up a 2003 exchange server to coexist with an exchange 5.5 server. I am having problems moving mailboxes.
One mailbox moved but was only able to send and not to receive mail.
a differnt mailbox wouldnt even move. the error was "could not open information store"
are there any resources i could check out?
