I have a list in specific area in the portal site.

I want to put this list in the Sub Area of this area, but when I click on Add WebPart I dont see this list on the list. I try also to save the list as template but I still dont see it on the list.

How to do it?

After you save the list as a template, go to your subarea, Manage Content, click Create, find the new list template that you just created, once you create the list from the template then go to Add Webparts and find the new list you just created. If you want to then remove the new list template go to Site Administration, Manage Security and Additional Settings, Manage List Template Gallery, choose the list and delete it.

unclerico,
you are The Man.

This is a helpful tip. Very useful for migrating lists that already include content.

However -
It appears that Issue Tracking lists can't be saved with content in the same manner as task lists or other lists. The "Include Content" checkbox is grayed out when attempting to save Issue Tracking lists as a template.

Any ideas how to get around this?

Thanks,
Rob
