thanks

note : I know how to remove disk.

All you need to do is to exportvg orabackupvg, rmdev your disk, connect the disk to the other server, cfgmgr, importvg orabackupvg!

Khalid

Oh yeah one more important thing! Obviously you need to unmount all your file systems that are on that vg!

On your source server:

1) stop all processes access the fs on your vg!
2) umount /fs_on_vg
3) varyoffvg orabackupvg
4) exportvg orabackupvg
5) rmdev -dl hdiskX

On your destination server:

1) Connect your disk to the server
2) cfgmgr -s
4) importvg -y orabackupvg hdiskX
5) varyonvg orabackupvg
6) mount /fs_on_vg

Regards,
Khalid
