I had a form with a lot of fields. I have customized them all and don't want to lose them. I created a tab control that I want to add all of my fields to. The problem is whenever I try to move them, it puts them under the tab control. This has to have an easy solution. I tried to set the parent of the controls to be a page on the tab strip, but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

Not fun...
Copy all your controls in one big swoop if you can. Delete them. Select the page you want to "land" them on, and....paste. Now you have to reconnect any of their event procedures that were associated with them. It'll take a while but here's a trick: when you think you're done, in vb select from the tool bar "General". Now look right next to it where it says "declarations". Check this list and if there is anything you forgot to "hookup" they will appear here. I sympathize having done this many times...P.S. Pull the tab control out of the way while you work, move it back when you're done. Good luck, Gord

this is the dumbest feature of Access. Thanks.

If you select the title/header of the page and right click you can then reliably drop contents onto the page. Another option is select page and the menu: Edit > Paste Special. Gord touched on one of the truly irritating things about Access --you can have code in place that address the control by name but when you move the control or sneeze over it the link to the event is lost (I've spent ridiculous amounts of "debugging" time that should have been relinking time). Gord: thanks for the General tip--this shows missing code / event associations on the form?
