I have a form that was created for me by someone else and have been able to modify it for a different data-base. However, the original form had 5 tabs or sheets and the new form only needs 4. I have completed changing all the verbiage and combo boxes for my new data-base, however, I need to copy some buttons from the 5th tab of the original form to the 4th tab of the new form. When I try copy and paste it pastes it on each tab/sheet, not just the one I want. How would I do this? Also, when I get the buttons copied over, I want to delete the 5th tab/sheet and don't know how to do that.

Thanks, anyone, for your help!

Hi...
From memory, so take this with a pinch of salt, as they say...
You must make sure that only that part of the tab control where you want to paste the control has the focus. With a tab control it's easy to focus the entire control rather than one of the pages. In design view click in the body of the page where there is no control...I think that's how to focus so you can paste your control. If that doesn't work, I've got several such controls and I'll go back and make sure.
To eliminate the 5th tab just make sure you're focused there and "click the scissors", or choose Edit, Cut...
Hope this helps.

I tried this and it still pasted it on all the sheets. I click on a blank area and it pastes the button way up at the top. When I pull it down, making sure there is nothing else selected, and then go to the next sheet, the whole sheet is selected and the button is where I put it on the front page. I'm guessing I'm doing some simple thing wrong, but cannot figure it out!

Thx,

Jeanie

Do not click a blank area. In design view click the actual tab at the for the page in question (the little part that sticks up at the top.) then paste.

I use to have the same problem. I use tab controls alot.
