Move account with current activity & history to a new account mask

Hi, I am an accountant, not an IT professional. We have a situation at my company where we need to change the account numbers for a group of accounts. We need to move all history and current activity associated with these accounts to the new account number. I have explored using the "move" function in the Mass Modify Chart of Accounts window, but this utility only works if there is no history or current activity in the accounts that you want to move. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

You have two choices:

1) Contact your partner or Microsft directly to get their Professional Tools product which will be able to do what you need.

2) Contact a third party vendor called Corporate Renaissance Group and look at their Changer product. By the way, CRG has been at this type of work quite a bit longer than Great Plains/Microsoft and have a rock solid product.
