hello all,
I have been asked to change a users mailbox, and was hoping to get some advice on the best way to do this.
We currently run Exchange 2003 std
The situation is this...
UserA has new leads e-mailed to her directly from outside marketing sources. When she is not in the office, there are several other people who log in as her to get the new leads that come in. But since she gets personal e-mail as well,,, management does not want that to happen anymore.

So they want me to move UserA mailbox, so about 10 people can open it, and create a new User.A mailbox for this user, so she can have her personal email back.

Can I just create a new user, move the mailbox to the new user, then create a mailbox for the old user?
Will that delete, or mess up the mailbox?

I just don't want to pull the trigger and then lose the contents of her original mailbox...

Hopefully I am making sense...
Thanks everyone.

Change her email address in her SMTP properties, so that she can retain her current user account. Then create a new centralized email account that also has her old email address added into the "email addresses" tab that the outside marketing still goes to. This new box will then receive those emails and not her personal emails. She will need to update her personal contacts and let them know of the new addresss to send personal emails to.

Well, just wanted to let you know, it worked like a charm. Absolutely perfect. Thanks again.
