I have recently purchased a new motherboard ASUS A7V600, 80 Gig harddrive and AMD Duron 1.3 Gig processor. I used my old DVD, CD-RW, and 1.44 Floppy drives, same GeForce2 video card, monitor, mouse and keyboard. I am having trouble with the video card, in the properties I can only pick a 16bit color scheme, I am sure I had 32bit before. I have no drivers on any disks, nor did I install any. I am running Win2000 Pro Corporate edition so I figured that it would automatically install all the windows drivers needed. Also I cannot get the wheel on the mouse setup to scroll, is there a way to do this for all programs, if so where do I do this.
Any help would be greatful.
Thanks A LOT

In most cases the Windows drivers will work fine but for such things as video you want to go to the manufacturer website and download the most recent drivers. The correct drivers will allow the use of advanced properties on the video card and scroll function of the mouse.

Have you spend the required time at the Windows Update site?

Just installing Win2k does not update the basic driver set. It spends some time updating its Windows Installer package and other fairly low-level service issues. Head to the Windows Update site.
