Mouse Stopped Working 2

I looked through the archives and had no luck on this subject. I can use it in safe mode, but it won't work in normal mode, changed no settings, the mouse just didn't activate when I started the computer this morning. Any suggestions on what may be causing this?

Boot to safe mode, go to device manager, expand the mouse section. Remove all entries, reboot.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

If you remove the mouse (safe mode), you may have to use Alt-F4 to close the computer down.
