mouse problems

i put a trackman vista on my computer, installed it and orientated it. it works fine except for when i reboot. then no movement. i manually(keyboard) go into settings then contol panel then mouse then devices-i have to maunually add device for the mouse to work. it happens every time in reboot.
please help!!!

Try sysedit at start/run and look at your startup files to ensure the drivers are being called out at boot...I'd also try booting into safe mode and seeing what entries you have for mouse...maybe there are duplicates...delete all but one.

did all that, only one mouse listed. how do i verify a port is working correctly?
