I have a subform that when I mouseover to get to a command button I get an error message dialog box that pops up and says "The value you enetered isn't valid 4 this field. The box in question on the form is text and I'm not trying to enter anything in just mouse over.

Thanks..Russ

I would start by inspecting every object on the subform to see if any have any code in the Mouse Move event. Especially the subform itself and each field on it.

If as you say the error occurs only my moving the mouse over the form then you must be triggering an object's Mouse Move event.

Rod,

Good thought but I have no mouse move events. Actually I've never used one on any application. The weird thing is When there is no data in the subform it doesn't give me the error.

I'ld appreciate any other suggestions you might have.
Thanks..Russ
