mouse down button 1

Hi
I'm very new to Flash. I'm using Flash MX.

I'm trying to create a button that when the mouse is moved over the button it wil fade to a new colour and then when the mouse is moved off it will fade back to the original colour.

I tried creating this but when the mouse moves off the button it shows the original colour for an instant before it starts the fade back to the original colour.

Is this all done on the Up part of the button?

Something like that?
I used a movieclip-symbol and made it a button via script.
