I'm trying to connect together 2 redhat 7.2 machines on my local home network. machines can ping each other and name resolution works fine. i spent days studying the redhat 7.2 bible and other documentation for the correct syntax and procedures for setting up one machine as nfs server(exportfs)(rpcinfo shows nfs ports) and the other as nfs client(mount and fstab).
when i type in any commands on the client machine to mount the exported dir on the server machine, i get a Timed Out
what could i investigate to achieve file sharing connectivity between these machines?
