Hi there, I am trying to retrieve some data of a external disk enclosure which was originally attached to a piece of hardware which ran a Linux O/S. It would appear that the disks are LVM which was revealed by using ext2 explorer from within Windows. I have removed the SCSI card from the original piece of harware and plugged it into a HP DL380 server and then attached the disk enclosure. At this point Windows sees the partitions but fails to recognise them.

Does anyone know if it is possible to read LVM partitions in Windows 2003?

You can try running a Linux Distro that runs on CD like Knoppix, mount both the Windows and the Linux drives and then proceed to copy the files over to one of your Windows drives. Hope this helps.

OK, thanks for this. I am currently sorting a Knoppix CD at the mo, I will let you know the outcome.
