Hi,
I'm trying to mount a filesystem after a reboot which didn't mount it
automatically and I get the error :
mount: 0506-324 Cannot mount /dev/lv19 on /pms8: The requested resource is busy

There's nobody signed onto the machine.
cheers,

perhaps an unnecessery question, if you execute the command "mount" is the lv19 listed somewhere in there?

rgds,

R.

What sometimes happened is that the logical volume is in use because it is being synchronized because of stale mirrors?

Type lslv lv19 to see current status and synch level.

May also be worth doing a fsck on the filesystem

It's OK guys, I know what the problem is. lv19 is occupied by another filesystem which is mounted and in use. /pms8 I think was an old filesystem originally created on lv19 which wasn't fully removed. Therefore when I try to mount /pms8 it's looking for lv19 which is being used.

Thanks for your replies !
