mounting a floppy anyone???

need help mounting my floppy, on AIX, i know i'd a dumbhead, never used floppy before, always used CDrom.<br>

ah well, any help will be noted. thanx pple.
 
No AIX boxes around, and it's been a while, but try:<br>
<br>
mount /dev/fd0 /mnt<br>
<br>
The device name might be wrong, so have a dig around in /dev for fd* files.<br>
<br>
If it's a DOS formatted floppy, take a look at "man dos".<br>
<br>

*Could* be something like /dev/fd0135ds18. /dev/fd0 is more Linux than Unix. Unix tends to want to know more about the floppy.
 
found out the ways now thanks lads/gals. AIX doesnt need mounting.<br>
