bos200,

No matter where Win2k is installed, there are files on Drive C: that BOOT Win2K. So, it will NOT let you format !!

What sort of problems are you having with Drive C: ??

Ian

Everyday the Computer Gods pick one person to be "it". Maybe, today is your day !!

You can't format the drive that you have just booted from... well, not with windows 2000 anyway (had fun formatting a 95 computer within windows...)

You will have to create a boot disk first, then format the drive.

bos200,

Can you boot from a cd rom? If so, insert the win2000 cd rom and boot from it, when you start the setup, select delete partition, then create partition, and format it ntfs.
