I tried mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom
and it said mounting read-only, then next line was mount; wrong medium type

where do i go from here?
in /var/log/messages it says hdb: CD-ROM
..thanks

Are you sure it's iso9660? What does the CDROM contain that you are trying to mount?

Make sure your Linux kernel is compiled with Microsoft Joliet and ISO9660 format. Goto "/usr/src/linux" and type "make menuconfig" and check the current kernel configurations.

--Moonshi
icq: 2595480
