hi
I want to mount SMB shares on my aix server
found :
which states that this functionality is included into bos.cifs_fs.
I used
installp -ld /dev/cd0 | grep bos.cifs_fs
on my 4 aix 433 cd's nothing was there.
trying to find the thing on ibm .com but just found fixes for version 5L
How do I get bos.cifs_fs ?
We tried creating nfs share on NT, but all files got owned by nobody nobody ...
regards
SteenB

did you install samba on your unix system ?there is a much easier way in mounting samba files to be shared by using SWAT which comes with samba.this is a web interface for samba that runs from your web browser.you will have to put entries into /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf file.read on the website for more info on how to do this

good luck
