I am using PClinuxos 2007. My primary drive is the operating system and my external USB hard drive enclosure is where I download any files to. When I boot up my distro it should see my external hard drive but it doesn't mount the drive automatically even though I selected in properties mounting and clicked on mounting automatically.

I think my boot up is missing a command. By the way, my hard drive in my external USB housing is FAT32 drive and it does save the files but I must always mount the drive manually.

Thanks

Hi Abran88, if you're already mounting this manually, you may want to add the same parameters to the /etc/fstab and this should allow the external drive to automount when the OS loads

Good luck!
