Please help,
I've been using After Effects for a long time now and have constantly struggled with this frustrating problem:
When applying motion blur to layers that are being transformed over short periods of time (very fast blurring) and with the shutter angle wide open, the blurring is very very choppy (stair stepping effect).
I have checked all the forums ... no solutions. I have tried numerous effects: 'Cinemotion', 'Tinderbox', 'Reelsmart' ... but all of them blend consecutive frames in motion video layers, I need to blur an actual layer itself that is being moved around on its x and y axis'.
How can I smooth this motion blur out and make it look more natural, even at very fast speeds and with high shutter angle (increase the number of 'samples')?
I cant understand why it is so difficult to smooth out this blurring.
Please help! Thank you! - Paul you@senord.com
